Microsoft Partner Program
Important notice for all microsoft empower for isv members who joined prior to december 1, 2007.
**Action required by march 1,2008-Visual studio 2008/msdn access change**
Effective november 2007, you are able to grant MSDN subscriber Download access ti three technical contacts within your organization. In order to do this, you
need to use your new Microsoft Partner Program (MSPP) Technical contact ID to access the MSDN Subscriber Downloads.
**Please note: Effective March 1, 2008, you will no longer be able to access MSDN Subscriber Downloads using your older Empower ID. If you haven't already done so,
you will need to begin using your MSPP Technical Contact ID to ensure uninterrupted access. Instructions are included below.**

Step 1:
instructions for finding your MSPP technical contact ID
-go to
https://partners.microsoft.com/partnerprogram/PartnerMembershipCenter.aspx
-log in to the Microsoft Partner Program Membership center site using your windows live ID.
-click on the 'requirements and assets' tab.
-select 'assign contact roles'
-your MSPP Technical Contact ID will be listed next to your name.

-go to
https://partners.microsoft.com/partnerprogram/PartnerMembershipCenter.aspx
-log in to the Microsoft Partner Program Membership center site using your windows live ID.
-click on the 'requirements and assets' tab.
-select 'assign contact roles'
-click the 'assign' button and select your second and third technical contacts. A unique MSPP Technical Contact ID number will be automatically assigned to each person
for use within the MSDN Subscriber Downloads.
-if you have not associated additional people to your organization already, click the 'add new people' tab and follow the tab instructions. An invitation email will be
sent to each individual you have added. Omce each individuals accepts the invitation, a global or local administrator will need to approve the added person.
-once you have associated people wihin your organization, go back to the 'program contacts' tab and click the assign button to select your second and third technical contacts.
-please note: it takes up to 72 hours for your additionnal MSPP Technical contact ID to be activated in MSDN.

note: each of your three technical contacts needs to complete this process.
SCENARIO 1;
I HAVE NEVER ACCESS MSDN SUBSCRIBER DOWNLOADS BEFORE
-you will need to associate your windows live ID with your MSPP technical contact ID in MSDN.
-go to the http://msdn.microsoft.com
-click the link to 'associate your subscription with your windows live ID' on the far right side of the page.
-you will be prompted to enter your windows live ID information or, if you do not have a windows live ID account, to create one.
-enter your first name, last name, email address and MSPP technical contact ID(Benefit access number).
-when you click OK, your MSDN Subscription information associated with your empower membership will be displayed.
SCENARIO 2;
I HAVE ACCESS MSDN SUBSCRIBER DOWNLOADS BEFORE
-you will need to associate your windows live ID with your MSPP technical contact ID in MSDN.
-go to the http://msdn.microsoft.com
-click on the link on the far right side under Existing Subscribers to access your benefits.
-you will be prompted to enter your windows live ID information. NOTE: if you are already signed into windows live ID, just click on the link 'manage my subscriptions' on the far right side of the page.
-click 'add new subscription' at the bottom of the page.
-enter your first name, last name, email address and benefit access number (wich is your MSPP technical contact ID).
-when you click OK, your MSDN Subscription information associated with your empower membership will be displayed.
